OHS Advisor (Junior)

Ensure a proactive OHS presence on construction sites to support teams, inform and advise personnel, and oversee the application of best practices through prevention program reviews and weekly inspections.
Participate in health and safety activities: site committees and OHS committee, investigations, accident analyses, corrective actions, OHS training, safety breaks, etc.;
Act as an advisor regarding the selection of PPE;
Participate in the drafting and updating of prevention programs and specific programs;
Participate in the preparation and dissemination of OHS communications (orientation sessions, safety breaks, notices);
Train and raise awareness among workers about good practices in health and safety (procedures, protective equipment, safe work methods);
Ensure the follow-up and completion of various OHS training;
Collaborate with foremen, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure the application of OHS rules;
Manage various OHS platforms (Cognibox, Aveeta, ComplyWork, etc.);
Participate in the implementation of OHS programs and projects;
All other related tasks.

College diploma (DEC or AEC) in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene or related field;
2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
Mastery of laws, regulations and standards related to OHS;
Possess a valid ASP construction card;
Hold a valid driver's license;
Ability to analyze complex situations and propose practical solutions;
Ability to create a climate of trust with workers and managers;
Excellent communication skills and training facilitation abilities;
Ability to work on multiple sites simultaneously;
Communicate easily with clients;
Knowledge of the construction industry;
Mastery of spoken and written French.
