Occupational Health and Safety Technician

Participate in the coordination and supervision of OHS on construction sites;
Contribute to healthy occupational health and safety practices on site;
Inspect sites on a weekly basis and issue associated reports;
Ensure a proactive presence on sites to support teams and answer OHS questions;
Inform, advise and make recommendations to all site personnel regarding health and safety;
Verify the application of prevention programs and safe work methods on our sites, through documented continuous visits and audits;
Participate in health and safety activities: site committees, investigations, accident analyses, corrective actions, OHS training, safety breaks, etc.;
Act as an advisor regarding the selection and use of PPE;
Participate in the writing and preparation of prevention programs related to our various projects;
Participate in the preparation and dissemination of OHS communications (orientation sessions, safety breaks, notices);
Train and raise awareness among workers about good practices in health and safety (procedures, protective equipment, safe work methods);
Participate in the health and safety committee;
Collaborate with foremen, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure the application of OHS rules;
Communicate with clients regarding OHS;
Manage various OHS platforms (Cognibox, Aveeta, ComplyWork, etc.);
All other related tasks.

College diploma (DEC) in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene or related field;
2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
Mastery of laws, regulations and standards related to occupational health and safety;
Possess a valid ASP construction card;
Hold a valid driver's license;
Ability to analyze complex situations and propose practical solutions;
Ability to create a climate of trust with workers and managers;
Excellent communication skills and training facilitation abilities;
Ability to work on multiple sites simultaneously;
Communicate easily with clients;
Knowledge of the construction industry;
Mastery of spoken and written French.
